Because this solar water fountain has a battery, it can work when sun shines directly on the solar panel while also storing power in its rechargeable batteries, allowing you to have the fountain work during overcast weather or at night.

A 16-foot cord (standard cord is one foot) between the pump and solar panel allows you to set this fountain in a cloudy or covered location and tuck the solar panel in a sunny spot!

No plumbing, no electrical cords, no hassle installation without damage to your landscape! The fountain has a hidden reservoir that also hides the pump, letting water continuously recycle. The Battery recharges during the day with sunlight and can store 6 hours of back-up power.

This fountain comes with a timer that lets you set the pump to work for 4 hours, after which it will shut itself off to store power for later use. If you use this option, you will manually need to to turn the fountain on when you next wish to use it.

Note: most solar products, including this fountain, provide the best performance when they are turned off for two days and set in the sun to allow the battery to get a great head start.)

Note: The solar lights are on at dusk/off at dawn, working when they sense darkness. However, you can cover this "electronic eye" with tape if you want the lights on for special occasions.

Durable resin construction withstands harsh weather conditions, although we recommend taking it in during freezing temperatures to protect pump from contraction/expansion damage to ice. Alternatives, remove water during freezing temperatures.

Note: batteries last up to 18 months. If you note that the fountain's performance is sluggish, try turning the fountain to the "off position" for two days to jump start the battery. If this doesn't work, you should take the batteries to a local hardware store or home center and make sure you buy the exact same type and strength of batteries, as using the wrong batteries damages electronics
