The Designer Tower Solar On Demand Fountain has a sleek modern design with decorative river rocks included.
A self-contained unit with a battery lets you, not Mother Nature, decide when it will operate: even at night or during overcast weather.
Water bubbles out of the center of the fountain, fills the top basin and flows down all four sides a modern and sleek design, water bubbles up from the center of the fountain, filling the top pool and flowing through a square channel into the main basin.
Along with soft bubbling sounds as water enters the basin and flows over polished river rocks, the fountain has an echoing sound as water enters the hidden reservoir.
Modern in style, it's great for landscapes, gardens, terraces, decks and balconies. Since the solar panel is connected to the pump via a 9-foot, 8-inch cable, you can place the fountain in partial sun or even full shade (such as a covered balcony or terrace) as long as the solar panel receives full sun for a large portion of the day.
Solar On Demand: You Choose When It Operates
The Designer Tower Fountain has a battery that stores power from the solar panel at the same time the panel powers the pump.
For best performance, it's best to leave the fountain in the "off" position for everyday use, at which time the pump will work directly off of the solar panel.
If you want to enjoy the sights and sounds of the fountain at night or when the sun's hiding, just switch the button on the solar panel to "On" and it will operate up to four hours without sunshine.
You can leave the fountain on the on-position at all times, and during the day time it will operate off of direct sun and stay on if clouds pass over. However, in this mode, it will take two sunny days rather than one to fully charge the rechargeable battery and the lifespan of the batteries (included) will be closer to 12 months as opposed to 18 to 24 months.
As with most self-contained water features, this fountain should be emptied and stored (if possible) indoors during subfreezing temperatures since the expansion of freezing water is very likely to damage the pump, hose, and possibly the fountain.
