The
Super Solar Sipper Bird Watering Station
helps keep fresh water available for wild birds year-round.
During the summer, the covered water station helps keep water free from bird dropping and cool when kept in a shady area or a location with filtered sunlight only.
When temperatures start to drop, the Super Sipper lives up to its name, keeping water unfrozen during temperatures down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
It works with a passive solar design (no solar panels or batteries required) and insulated walls. Just place the coverd bird bath/waterer in the sun and it will absorb and retain heat.
During extreme cold, we recommend taking it in after a few hours of darkness and putting it out with fresh water the next day. And, since many birds fear white, you may wish to add a brightly covered object (such as a plastic or real apple or evergreens) on or near the sipper.
