What Solar Light or Solar Garden Product is Best for Your Project?
Each of our product categories has a brief description of the products within that category, including what type of light they provide (and sometimes do not provide). Many page have short videos that point out features that you should consider when buying any given light.
While we will continue to expand our online help, it's always a good idea to contact us if you are not sure what light you need especially if you are making a large purchase or buying several different kinds of lights.
For example, let's say you're buying floodlights or solar lamps and accent lights. Do know how to place them so both will work? Maybe not, solar lights turn on when they sense darkness. If lights aren't positioned properly, the stronger light will turn on but the smaller light may think it's daytime and stay dark.
Discounts Often Given to Customers Who Call Us
If you are ordering lots of different products, or multiple units of any given product, please note the often can can give discounts to customers that call us directly.
Why: Most of our products have Minimum Advertising Prices (MAPs), meaning we can't list or advertise the product below a certain price on our website. (Other stores aren't allowed to do this either; when stores get caught they can lose the right to sell that brand in the future OR they risk that the manufacturer may cancel the order.)
However MAP pricing doesn't necessarily apply to special orders. If you have got questions, calling us may mean mean you're more likely to get a better product and/or a better price.
Calculators
Our calculators can help you determine which product(s) are best for you, including:
- How much electricity a product uses compared to the solar equivalent
- Find out what size solar pump you need (and when you may need to a higher powered electric pump for your project)
- How many gallons of water are in your water features
This information is helpful not only when choosing pumps and you should also feel free to contact us about using our calculators or questions about our products and product descriptions.
- Electricity Calculator: Estimate how much electricity a traditional fixture or pump will cost to run, or estimate how much you can save over the short- and long-terms by choosing solar alternatives to similar items powered by electricity.
- Volume Calculator: Get a good estimate of how many gallons of water are in your water feature.
- Head Pressure Calculator: Enter simple dimensions about your water feature and find out what strength pump you'll need to get the effect you want. If you intend to use your pump in waterfalls, using this calculator is particularly important. (Whenever possible, we include head pressure information in our product descriptions.)
For some products, however, it's best that we discuss your goals with you to provide you with a pump that will meet your expectations.

- Tips on Using this Site
The new SolarFlairLighting.com is built with new e-commerce that works very differently than our old site.
While we have tested the site extensively and tried to make it as easy to use as possible, there are questions common to all new websites. We hope these FAQs help. Our new site is mobile-Friendly, designed to work on full destop computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones.
With so many different kinds of devices and so many different browsers, it's possible that something may not work the way you need it to. If you can not use our calculators or our shopping cart, for example, please call us for assistance. If we don't know something is not working right on a particular device or a particular browser, we can't fix it.
- FAQS: Common Product Issues/Trouble-Shooting
These FAQs offer basic trouble shooting for the most common problems people encounter. Please remember that if you have a problem with any product, but most especially a recent purchase, it's always best to call us or use our online Help Form. Usually we can tell what the problem is and whether it's an easy fix, a more serious issue that requires specialized advice from a manufacturer, or when an issue is likely and manufacturer's defect covered by your product warranty. When necessary, Solar Flair Lighting helps customers work on warranty issues. - Shipping and Returns:

Coming Soon:
We will soon post a list of terms commonly used when discussing solar lights. We find that different manufacturers sometime use different terms, and often see these terms incorrectly used by other merchants that sell the same or similar products that we sell.
SolarFlairLighting.com will define much of the terminology regularly used in solar light product descriptions and will continue to expand this.
For example, what were considered to be "Super Bright LEDs" five years ago aren't always considered the same thing today. Cheap lights don't really have quality LEDs and many lights (cheap and otherwise) don't properly use LEDs.
