When designing our new store, we incorporated customer comments over the past few years since we last moved our site.Â
You have more choices in how you use this site than past versions of SolarFlairLighting.com: especially when you use the checkout cart.
This is a new website and it works differently than the old SolarFlairLighting.com. Among the benefits are a more flexible shopping cart and "mobile friendly" design for our many visitors that use tablets or smart phones.

While we've tested the site, there may be things that could work better with your feedback. Since it's hard to fix things if we don't know they aren't working properly and do want this site to work well for our customers, your feedback is encouraged.
For example, the way the links people click on work a bit differently during on our test server than when this site is live. The platform is supposed to automatically take care of things and we've tried to test all links but that's not possible unreally possible until the site is life.
If you find a broken link and can't get to where you need to go, please let us know and we'll fix it immediately and help you get what you need.
Here are some answers to some of the most common questions we get when we create new sites or upgrade existing ones. Based on customer responses, we will continually update this page.
This is a relatively new feature of most browsers and it depends on the browser settings you choose or the default ones. Each browser works differently.
Note: You are not being redirected: our store is on warhead.com and the checkout cart identifies the full name of our site. The other pages are also "solarflairlighting.warhead.com" you just can't see that.Â
Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and other browsers do like as much information as possible about you so that the ads you see online match your browsing habits. We can't do anything about this.
IP Addresses/Cookies Are Required for Checkout
An IP address is not necessarily the same as your location.
Our checkout cart does, however, collect IP addresses as part of our fraud prevention measures.
If someone tries to make a purchase using a card they shouldn't be, we will provide the IP address used (and any other information we can) to the rightful cardholder, the credit card company, and/or law enforcement officials.
SolarFlairLighting.com can only provide free shipping within the contiguous 48 United States. For various reasons, our manufacturers ask some products not be sold or shipped to certain areas. It's not our call.
If we can't ship that order to you with free shipping, we may be able to process the order as a special order with a small shipping charge. We often sell to customers in Hawaii, for example, usually we have to charge some shipping charges. Â Â
Other products have batteries that Federal regulations prohibit from cargo holds of US aircraft. While the chances of a couple of small batteries causing problems are extremely low, it is theoretically possible and therefore illegal. Â
When possible, we will ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other US terroritories. We also may be able to ship an item to US military bases or US Govenment offices worldwide, and to both Canada and Mexico. Different manufacturers have different policies and we must abide by those policies. If we can't sell the item to your location, we often can provide the name of a store that can.
All orders shipped outside of the 48 contiguous United States are handled as special orders only.
No, feel free to check out as a guest. Since we like to use guest checkout when we shop on line, we’re happy that one of the benefits of the new site is account creation is optional.
Note: The only time you have to create an account is if we ask you to, which we reserve the right to do for certain special orders and for customers who ask us for provide a proposal and/or cost estimate for certain large dollar, large volume and/or custom orders. Â

You'll be asked to add all of the information necessary for us to process your order. We will note that you paid with a credit card, but the account will not store your payment information.
When you log back into your account, you'll be able to see the same information we do including information about any past purchases on this store.
When you create an account, you’ll be able to pull up all information you provided to make your purchase except your payment data. SolarFlairLighting.com never stores your credit card information.

Purchases made through the older versions of old SolarFlairLighting.com are not available through an account on this site. However, if you need that information, please call us as we do maintain basic information on all orders for several years.
You will be asked to create a password. If you don’t remember your password the next time you visit, just use the password reset function at the checkout cart.
Note: For tax reasons and to provide customer service down the road, we do save all of the above information in our databases whether you create an account or not.
Creating an account will allow you, however, to see what information we see about you, including all past purchases on this version of SolarFlairLighting.com.
SolarFlairLighting.com is a retailer, not a wholesaler. We have capped the numerical value of certain products for two main reasons:
Solar Flair Lighting knows that it’s important for customers to know the status of their order: has your order been processed; has it been shipped; and when it will arrive.
We regularly email customers about this information and when possible, set up tracking alerts to you from the shippers we use.
If you like, you can also enter your email address and your order ID into the “Track Order†screen at the top of our menu bar and you'll be able to see notes about your purchase and access your electonic invoice.

Even though we’ve tested the site extensively, we could have missed something. SolarFlairLighting.com is new site built on a relatively new e-commerce platform that is still in the beta stage. (For example, we can’t yet load our store’s own Favicon on yet.)
Please remember that some things work differently with different browsers, different versions of any browser, and can vary with your browser settings or the devices you use.
What you see in Internet Explorer, for example, may look or work differently in Firefox, Safari or Chrome. Macs and PCs work differently and so do Androids, iPads/iPhones and differnt models of each.
The new SolarFlairLighting.com is mobile friendly, meaning it’s designed for people with desktop computers and laptops (PC and Mac); Android and Apple tablets and smart phones. We've tested the site on everthing we can and worked out any bugs we found. Could we have missed something given how many options and versions of all of the above are in use today? Sure, and if you find somethings, please let us know so we can fix it.
Unlike our old store (where the page scaled down to the device you used, meaning it appeared very small on smart phones and smaller tablets), the new storefront can tell what device you are using and should default to your device.
If you have a tablet, the store should default to the mobile device mode, which has less formatting to accommodate smaller screens and limitations of most tablets and smart phones.
Many tablets can view the full desktop version device. This can be done by clicking the right corner of your screen (Android) and clicking “Request desktop site.†If you can do this, please do. Not only does the desktop version look better, it is usually easier for most people to move around the full site using the full tool bars and navigation menus.
The mobile design is designed primarily for small tablets and smart phones.
In general, no. This site and our checkout cart can be used without downloading any apps.
There are a couple of exceptions: PDFs or videos available through our site may require often free and commonly available software or Apps such as Acrobat Reader and various video viewers depending on your device.
Some Apps may have a small fee associated with them. To a large degree this depend on your mobile device, your mobile browser and/or any service contracts you have associated with that device.
Our checkout cart is very secure, but if you make a purchase through our checkout cart on a Mobile Device, please make sure that the information you send is protected, particularly with mobile devices. We recommend:

Note: Until last year, when many people's (including celebrities) smart phones and/or cloud accounts were hacked into, until relative recently many mobile devices often did not work with Norton but used the manufacturers security. Various Norton security products are now available for most model iPhones and iPads.Â
For more information, please read "Use Your Smart Phone Wisely for Mobile Payments!" While it was written in 2012, much of the information in it is still very relevant. The only thing that is different is that many stores, like SolarFlairLighting.com, now use Mobile Friendly designs to meet rise in consumer demand.
Our calculators and some of our forms, for example, require JavaScript. JavaScript is a default for most devices (including desktop computers) but you may need to set your browser to allow JavaScript.
Note: JavaScript is extremely safe and should not be confused with Java, which is completely different.
SolarFlairLighting.com does not use Java. Please note that you should always be careful with Java and should never allow a Java program to run unless you know the website very well and completely trust them. You should never use Java on a site you do not know, especially a Java program that is in, say an email link. Very few legitimate enterprises would ever send you a Java link via email and you may be opening the door to a lot of trouble. .
PDFs may require an App so that your mobile device can open them. Adobe Acrobat Reader is usually free and/or already installed on many devices or availble for a very small fee. Currently, the only PDFs on our site are some invoices. We will add PDFs only if the the information in them is useful to customers.
