The Weston Solar Lamp with Motion Sensor is an intelligent solar light that becomes twice as bright when needed, then dims to conserve stored energy and reduce light pollution.
With a classic lamp post design, it comes with all hardware necessary for the fixture to be mounted three different ways:
It's constructed of low-maintenance cast aluminum with powder-coated black finish. The panes are made of beveled glass.
Along with patented cone technology that intensifies the brightness and spread of the illumination, the Weston Solar Lamp is equipped with a motion sensor.
When the lamp senses motion within a 15 feet area, the intensity of the illumination doubles for 45 seconds or as long as motion occurs.
Once the need for the brighter light passes, the Weston automatically dims to 50 percent illumination. This extend the duration of high quality illumination each night, and makes the Weston Solar Lamp for areas where a consistently bright light may be unwanted.
The Weston's internal Lithium Ion battery pack charges when sunlight hits any of the four solar panels that are integrated into the lamp's design. At dusk six quality, high-output LEDs automatically turn on, providing reliable light for up to 10 hours on a full solar charge (about 6 hours of direct sun).
