Windsor Solar Lamp 3 Inch Fitter
The  Windsor Solar Lamp is a six-sided fixture that provides powerful, reliable light. This model can be mounted on any standard 3-inch lamp post and is ideal to beautifully and reliably light up your entrance, walkway, patio, deck and other outdoor living areas.Â
With a classic design and distinctive hexagon shape, it features twelve (12) super-bright White 10mm LEDs intensified by a patented prism. Six separate solar panels, one on each side of the fixture, allow solar energy to be absorbed from all sides.
Like all of our "Fitter" lamps, the Windsor Fitter can be used on a new lamp post (purchased separately) or to retrofit existing gas or electric lamp posts.
Twelve super-bright White 10mm LEDs are in each Windsor lamp, along with a patented cone reflector that intensifies the lamp's light output.
It automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn (or when the energy stored in the battery is expended). One special feature of Windsor solar lights is that you can set it on either low or high brightness.
At high brightness, it provides 8 hours of strong light on a full solar charge (about 6 hours of sunshine). Â The bright setting is equal to about 45-50 watt incandescent traditional bulb. On low brightness, the light is not as bright (about the same as a 35 watt incandescent bulbs), but will operate for up to 15 hours.
The low brightness setting is useful for three primary purposes:
- To provide reliable light on consecutive days without sun, as the power is "spread out" over multiple evenings;
- To provide light at entrances or entertainment areas that on certain occasions (such as when guests are expected) when more light than normal is necessary; and
- To provide continuous light dusk to dawn during times of the year when the days are as long or longer than nights, such as late fall through early spring.
The Windsor Solar Lamp is made of durable, rust-resistant, powder-coated cast aluminum. Unlike paint, which can chip in only a couple of years, powder-coated finishes are durable and last for years.
With quality housing and real beveled glass panes, the internal components of the light are protected from the elements for a long life span with low maintenance.
Your only responsibilities: occasionally clearing the solar panels of any debris (such as dust or pollen) that would impair their ability to absorb solar energy.
